Summit Cryogenic Gas processing PLANT COMMISSIONED INTO SERVICE IN DJ BASIN
Samuel Engineering, Inc. (SE) is proud to announce the official commissioning of the 60-MMscfd Meadowlark Summit Cryogenic Gas Processing Plant expansion in Weld County, Colorado in the Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin. The plant delivers residue gas to Colorado Interstate Gas and Trailblazer Pipeline and processed NGLs to the Overland Pass Pipeline.
The plant was a fast-tracked, brownfield expansion to an existing operating facility. It utilizes a new, state-of-the-art technology to achieve ultra-high recovery of propane while allowing for extended turn down. SE served as the EPC prime contractor for the entire Project. In addition to traditional engineering and design services, SE also completed all control system programming in house.

Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin
According to the Colorado Energy Office, over 80% of Colorado’s crude is produced in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in the northeastern part of the state. The Fort Lupton lll Gas Plant integrates with existing infrastructure of pipelines and compressor stations allowing for additional processing capacity in the future – capacity that’s already permitted for 760 MMcf/d. The DJ Basin has all the ingredients of a premier asset: established infrastructure, experienced personnel, more than 30 years of operating history, a significant resource opportunity and mineral-interest ownership via the Union Pacific Railroad Land Grant.
