Adam Murray brings over 20 years of business development expertise and more than 15 years in the oil and gas sector to his role as Chief Commercial Officer at Samuel EPC (Samuel). In this capacity, Adam leads all sales and business development functions, driving innovation, growth, and revenue across the company’s engineering, fabrication, and construction divisions.
Before joining Samuel, Adam served as Vice President of Performance Products at WeldFit, where he managed multiple midstream and pipeline product lines, including the patented ReCAP emissions reduction system. He previously was Vice President of Product Line Management at Coldstream Energy, overseeing product strategies and marketing initiatives, and Sales Manager at Taylor Forge Engineered Systems, leading a global sales team and expanding market reach.
Adam is actively involved in the energy industry. He currently serves on the GPA Midstream Advocacy and Membership boards. He also served on the GPA Midstream Rocky Mountain Chapter board for over a decade and continues contributing to local GPA Midstream Chapters.
In addition to his industry leadership, Adam is an Adjunct Professor for the Business School at Odessa College in Odessa, TX, where he imparts his expertise to future business leaders. He also serves as a board member for the Falcon Alumni Network at the University of Texas Permian Basin, where he earned his MBA. He is a member of the City of Melissa, Texas Industrial and Economic Development Committee.

I’m particularly motivated by the chance to collaborate with an experienced team to bridge traditional energy and mining infrastructure with the growing demands of the tech-driven energy sector.
What trends or challenges do you see shaping the industry in the near future?
One of the key challenges facing Energy, Metals & Minerals, Utilities, and other Heavy Industrial sectors is keeping pace with the increasing global demand for energy and industrial resources. As economies continue to grow, particularly in emerging markets, there’s mounting pressure to develop infrastructure that meets these needs sustainably and efficiently. Balancing traditional energy production’s operational and environmental demands with the emerging requirements of renewable technologies and energy storage will be a critical factor in shaping the industry.

I’m excited to continue working in traditional energy and mineral processing, which remain vital to the global economy and infrastructure.
