Samuel Engineering delivered end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction management for the Brighton Solar Array, guiding the project from initial feasibility through system commissioning and O&M setup. The team managed all permitting variances, orchestrated procurement activities, and oversaw construction execution. They also generated and evaluated over two dozen design scenarios with financial models to ensure optimal return on investment prior to project acquisition.
Project Description
The Brighton Solar Array established a new benchmark as the largest photovoltaic installation in Colorado directly tied to a distribution network. The 7.6 MW facility consisted of 7,600 300 W modules on a fixed-tilt driven-pile racking system with modular inverters, featuring a true 1000 V floating, ungrounded architecture. Its innovative layout maximized site utilization and performance while maintaining a fast-track schedule.
