Denver International Airport Solar Array Projects

Samuel Services
Samuel provided civil and structural engineering, quality assurance, and extensive permitting services, and construction support for DIA solar arrays. Samuel coordinated these projects with federal, state, and local government agencies to allow for expedited permit approvals.
Project Description
Samuel has been involved in the three Denver International Airport solar array projects. All three projects are complete, operational, and are providing clean energy to support airport operations. The three projects combined provide 6% of DIA total electrical needs. The first, and most visible, of DIA’s solar projects is the 2.0 megawatt Pena Boulevard Solar Array. Samuel served as the engineer of record for all disciplines on this single axis tracking array, and managed all permitting efforts on this project as well. Due to the project’s location, Samuel worked with half a dozen federal, state, and local government agencies to successfully secure approval for the project.
