Project Description

In 2021, Samuel Engineering enhanced its headquarters by installing dual-axis solar trackers across the parking lot premises. These advanced trackers are capable of rotating 360 degrees in azimuth and tilting up to 60 degrees, allowing for maximum solar capture and efficiency. Designed with a minimum clearance of 8’2″, the structures provide shaded parking while still accommodating vehicles and regional snow conditions, with an automated snow tilt mode of 40 degrees. Together, the trackers generate approximately 664 MWh of electricity annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 450 tons per year. Samuel Engineering not only designed and managed the installation but also serves as the ongoing owner and operator of this innovative clean energy system.
